I don't get offensive. When I tell an believer of God I'm an atheist
some get offensive and start shooting out Q's like "where do you think you came from?;how do you think the world was created?
or "you should read the bible...etc. It's like they try to impose there
belief on you. Christians can't seem to just accept you as an
atheist and want to convert you to their side. Some, maybe all
Christians view Christianity as not just a religious belief but a way of life. I have never had Muslims,Jews,Wiccans and the rest
knock on my door and try to impose their belief on me.

im athiest and a scientist, and well personally i let people believe what they want to believe without disrespecting them...BUT, i think that generally athiests are nasty towards christians and not so much other religions bcoz they don't know abt what the other religious scriptures say unlike christianity-almost evry1 is familiar with the bible. AND because when u read the bible...i mean, it is really difficult to understand, how u can believe that stuff??? God said "let there be light and there was"...do u think then the sun just popped up?? just pick a science book, and read abt the logic of how the sun was formed...oh my word, it makes tons of sense, yet most christians will choose to ignore that and believe some irrational thing that there is no proof for

I can't speak for all, but as a former christian, I am just more familiar with the Xian slant on biblical fairy tales. Obviously the Jews share the OT, but they don't tend to be as "in your face" about their non-belief in evolution. Muslims also believe in their own versions of fairy tales, and I challenge them when I can, but again, I'm not as familiar with the lies of the Koran and the Hadith as I am the biblical mythology.

Generally I try and treat all who have odd belief systems or magical thinking the same way. I spend a lot of time in So Called Alternative Medicine (SCAM) forums as well helping to educate the ignorant.

Unfortunately, many of the rabid xians who pose or answer questions seem to be as uneducated as you, with bad spelling/grammar/punctuation....and it makes it difficult to have an intelligent discussion.

i tell everyone creationism is a fairy tale. We evolved the world evolved. We were not created out of the sand 10000 years ago. I tell people that i believe evolution is like domino's, and the pieces fell as they did. i do believe though that something caused the first domino to fall...

I've always tried to respect another's beliefs. Believing in creationism--that's fine--to each their own. What I can't tolerate is Christians that try to pass it off as science. If you don't want scientists to preach evolution in the Church then don't preach creationism in the science classroom!

I think the other religions could actually be on to something. It's just Christianity I can't swallow. So to answer your question, yes, it is just you.

christians are the only ones who try to force it on everyone else. by force i mean coming to our doors to convert us, trying to make your beliefs into our laws, trying to elect mandatory prayer in public schools, demanding everyone else believe as you or we will go to hell, shall i continue?
