Plug the flashdrive into a USB port (looks like a skinny rectangle about half an inch long). The USB ports will be on the back of your computer or it might be on the front.

The flashdrive should automatically appear as a new drive on your "My Computer" folder. (It is usually called "Drive F" or "Drive G").

You can then save stuff to it by selecting the drive under "Save As" in your document or opening the drive (double-click on the icon) and then drag-and-drop the item into the drive folder.

It is easy if you are using Windows XP. When you plug the flashdrive into a USB socket it looks like just another disk to the operating system. Just copy files to and from it like you would with any other disk.
If you are not using XP you might have to get a driver from the Interent to make the flash drive visible. After that one-time install it works just the way that XP does.

Just stick it into your USB port, and usually the computer will do the rest. If it doesn't, your flashdrive came with drivers that you can put on your PC. Once you computer recognizes the device, just save your files to that drive like you would normally save on your PC
