Then we'd have more days off of work. Yah! Good wednesday sounds good to me. Not that I spend it in church or anything.

God had set aside Sabbath for mankind to rest, and not to over work. We in morden world all know tha tthere are many problem coming from overwork, and our dear Lord already know.
He set up Sabbath, not because he can not perform any work on that day, nor is it that he can not save his people on that special day. But that day is for his people to rest, physically, mentally as well as spiritually.
My dear, do not be like the religious leaders, to be so legalistic that missed the mark, even critisied Jesus to heal on Sabbath.
Jesus said, Sabbath is for man, not man for Sabbath.

You seem to have missed Jesus' whole lesson on the Sabbath Day. You should look into it. It will answer your question.

Sabbaths laws were meant for men as a reminder of God.
Why would God have to be reminded of Himself?

I suspect that is why it didn't happen that way...then again, Jesus healed on the Sabbath because it was necessary.
