No. What child needs more energy? If they need more energy they should learn to eat better, exercise more, etc. There is no substitute for good nutrition and anything less is masking a problem and potentially causing more problems down the road.

My ex was once carded for a Red Bull by some dumb beawch that didn't know she couldn't do that. I kinda see the point but kids burn that stuff off (it's mostly sugar) so fast anyway. And if we did start carding for that then the next step would be limit the number of Mountain Dews they could buy or a "must show ID to enter" signs at Starbucks.
So my basic answer, or shall I say opinion is yes they should be allowed to purchas energy drinks.

Energy drinks are less harmful and less sugar saturated that just about every soda on the market (except some diet sodas). Most energy drinks have a lot of good vitamins and minerals in them. Its the caffeine that is really the worst ingredient. I wouldn't give them to a kid under 8 years old just because of that reason. Kids generally don't need extra energy though. I am addicted to Monster Energy drinks though, so maybe you have a point.

Directly on the label of NOS, it plainly says not intended for children. And besides, I don't know of a kid ever needing extra energy. Sounds like to me if they need the energy drink, then they might have some kind of clinical depression or they are doing it because of peer pressure. maybe just because they have friends that do it and just want to fit in with them.

I'm beginning to wonder that also. My son has started drinking it much like I drink coffee in the morning.
The only difference being that I spend $5.00 on a pound that last me about a month. If they can afford it, and if medically it does no more damage then coffee I don't really see a problem with it.

Gosh.. who knows.. they don't have the same side effects as alcohol.. but they certainly are dangerous if kids abuse them for a rush or other not fitting purposes. Id say it should be monitored or regulated somehow. I don't care for them!

probably not, parents already expect everyone else to look after their child so that they don't have to assume responsibility. Kids don't need to be all hyped up so they can get into more than they already do ..... with nobody paying any attention to them.
