Is the punishment for murder different when they are illegal?? Mexicans stabbed my friend 11 times and beat him to death with a baseball bat. Because they are illegal, could that make a difference in their sentence? Are they still able to be sentenced to life in prison or the death penalty?

It depends on what state you live in.
Here in Texas, illegals can get the death penelty and do. Other states that are more "lib Dem" don't believe in the death sentence. The criminal has more rights than the victim. I hope that the murderer does get brought to justice.

Yes they are liable to both depending on the laws in the state your in. If your state has the death penalty then they can be put to death, if it doesn't then they can get life. It all depends on the Judge and Jury of course. As long as they do not have diplomatic immunity the laws affects them as much as anyone else.

They will do their time in our county then go back to their country and also do time. They will never be allowed here again IF they're still alive. I don't know about all states, but in Kansas life is 15 years and elligle for parole in 7. They need life with no parole or the hard 40, 80, 100 years. Sorry about your friend. I will keep you in my prayers. Godspeed, my friend.

Anyone here - citizen, visitor, or illegal - must follow our laws. In a case like murder, they won't just send the illegals home. Call the police!

it doesnt matter what you did, if the act was illegal where it was committed you are subject to that states penalty. Its like saying someone from amsterdam was apprehended in NY for smoking pot, but since its legal in holland they are allowed to do it anywhere. The murders if cought can be extradited to the US from mexico.

The fact that someone is legal or illegal should not change anything in the sentence they get. So they should get the same sentence as legal ones...
