Especially when someone picks your answer, over someone else who is higher ranked than yourself?

Not the feeling of vanity coz you're smarter, but a good feeling that maybe you made a real difference to someone in need of an answer to their question thats been bothering them.

Sometimes, we're overwhelmed by our own concerns and obligatons, we can't think of the right solution. Even if is right under our nose. Someitmes, we just don't have the experience or wisdom to see something in a different perspective. There is the hope that there is someone out there who may have the answer to our question, and for a minute or two, they may take us seriously and give us a hella good answer.

It may just make their day, that feeling of relief and being able to go on with their lives - and sometimes, the answer is just so funny that it tops off the day on a good note, your troubles aren't as bad as you might of thought.

2pts... oh yeah,..... ha ha . . . ha . . . . . uh - huh .

I wouldn't say it makes my day by any means, but it does make feel good that someone else out there understands the principles of truth when you boil it down and take out the bull sh!t that clouds a lot of questions.

If I have some real knowledge of a subject, I take the time to type it in. With a lot of dorks simply gunning for 2 points, there isn't always a lot of real help. So, with around 3000 points, I have nearly 90 BA, which means over 1/3 of my points come from BA.

I have, with no bragging, learned a bit in my 64 years. I know most young people don't understand that, but its true, and many of you will know a lot more 40 years from now than you think you do now.

i wouldn't say enlightening. that's how i feel when i get a really good answer to my question. when i get best answer, i just feel like i made a small difference in someones day by saving their hair or giving them a new perspective. i don't really pay attention to points. it doesn't mean they're smarter, just giving the answer thats most wanted a lot. i don't have the time to be here all day.

When my answer is picked as best I feel gratified. I hope that I have helped someone who needed some advice or needed someone to point out what they already knew themselves. It gives me a warm feeling. I forget my own sadness for a while.

i think it depends more on the question you are answering. If someone is sincere in their question and is asking for help and your answer is chosen as best. Yes, it's gratifying. Screw the points. Some people just like to help others

my first question i posted was when i had finished a grueling night shift in a warehouse and i asked "why do i have a sore head and crave a cheese sandwich at the same time" and someone answered " have you got your head stuck in a mousetrap" and i just laughed and laughed and the aches and pains of my nights work disappeared
