I have a 15-yr-old daughter who has been staying up way too late during the summer. I think a good bedtime for a 13-yr-old would be 10 at the latest. I keep reading that teenagers need lots of sleep (not quite as much as babies, but a lot!!), like 9 or 10 hrs. But how that's possible during the schoolyear is beyond me.

My 14 year old daughter always wants to stay up late. She is the youngest, and has accused me of making her into an old lady! I make her go to bed at 10:00 pm, she still sleeps all day. Kids that age cant seem to get enough sleep. They are growing. They all want to sleep all day.

10 pm on school nights, no exceptions. one is 13 and the other 16. they get up at 6 am and teens need a good nights sleep.
they are allowed to stay up until midnight on weekends.
