I don't get mad when I see a white person dress in baggy pants and T-shirts. There is no real reason to get mad. It 's just a a way of of dressing. If you like the baggy jeans and T-shirts then you should wear them. I like the T-shirt and baggy jeans style and it is good to know that I am not the only one. So when I see someone wearing the same style of clothing as me it doesn't bother me. It doesn't matter what race that they are. As far as slang is concerned I think that if you speak english and you can use slang correctly then there is no problem.

P.S. you should wear a belt when you dress like that so your pants will stay up. (just a little not so well known fact)

Who is this invisible "body" of authority who decides what is "black" and what isn't? And who also makes fun of blacks who decide not to follow these pre-determined stereo-types as being sell-outs, Uncle Toms, and "too white"???? Screw them. I say individuals should wear what they want, listen to whatever music they want, speak however they want, and date whoever they want; have friends of all races, have body language that is not copied from rappers or hip-hop artists, and make up their own minds. NO, I can't imagine any intelligent black person would care if white kids want to look as stupid as the black kids who look stupid. And, by the way, the style was NOT started because of ill-fitting hand-me-downs (as stated above). With the new emphasis on trendy clothing and accessories, hand-me-downs rarely occur anymore. And intentionally dressing to look that way is silly. This look was started IN PRISON. It was an "advertisement" that a prisoner was unattached and available for a gay relationship. So, how many of these little dorks with their pants around their thighs realize they're imitating gay prison behavior??

The baggy clothes came from the ghetto... It is from having to wear hand me downs and clothing that was often ill fitted. personally... Im glad they decided to go the way they did.

Who want's to see a bunch of really hot black guys walking around in high waters looking like urkel... Not me!

Fashon is often based on necessity... Look at victoria secrets... do bra's really have to look the way they do now days in order to be practical?

It is fashon built off of and based on necessity. Black people through history are wonderful at adapting to their enviorment and making beautiful art and hip culture out of hardship. I think it is fine... but some boys do take it a bit too far... I mean pull them up a little!

and as far as white kids go... they like the culture and the look but often don't DESERVE the badge of honor that comes with the right to wear those clothes if they were raised in perfect enviorments and don't understand the history of such a fashon statement.

But when black or white spolied little rich kids are buying their baggy jeans at a boutique or in a specialty store for $60 to $100 dollars and up, a pair... That is when necessity crossed the line into high fashon... and the reasons why are forgotten and by passed...

The fashon industry could make a potato sack acceptable if they wanted to and I am sure they have!

Well I'm really glad to hear you aren't racist, but maybe you need to see an optometrist, because white guys walk around with their pants hanging precariously on their hip bones and their underwear showing. They can't do much with their hands because they have to keep grabbing at their pants to keep them from falling down. I think that's why hip hop dancers do so many crotch grabs -- they're losing their pants. It's really funny when you see one of these dudes on a bike. They always ride a too-small bike (who knows why?) and when they bend forward you have a southern cleavage showing. Sometimes quite extensive.
But this is certainly not confined to Black guys! White guys do it. Yellow guys do it, probably Green guys do it too.

The problem for many African Americans is that historically their culture, music and style has been copied, appropriated & exploited by (primarily) white America. For example, a white musician copies the music of a black artist and gets paid very well, while the black artist sees little or no money from their work. Wouldn't that make you mad...just a little?

I don't get upset when I see other ethnic groups wearing baggy pants and talking with slang. I realize people are going to wear, speak, or act how ever way they want to.. Hopefully, when such persons get older they'll want to take a mature approach to life by understanding themselves, and shaping themselves to there personality.

I don't think it's ok for anyone to be dressing so sloppily. I agree it does look stupid, I bet if they were being asked to dress this way by parents there would be a huge rebellion. Go figure.

No. We get mad when we see stupid black people questions. Who gives a damn about saggy pants. I get mad when my son wears them. Go ask the Crypts or Bloods about it. That would be fun.
