I bought my computer through a friend. it is refurbished I have now discovered the windows xp is NOT genuine on it, which isn't too much of a problem for me but now when my computer starts up a warning page comes up telling me 'THIS WINDOWS IS NOT GENUINE' also warning bubbles appear while using my comp. there is a W.G.A symbol on the bott right of the screen. I have searched for the file on my comp to no-avail to try and remove it. does anyone know how to remove it?

you should ask that below

★★ MICROSOFT PRODUCT DISCUSSION GROUPS ★★
◙ Here are hundreds of Discussion Groups for Microsoft products such as Internet Explorer, Outlook, Outlook Express and the list goes on and on. There is even a discussion group for the new Internet Explorer 7 beta.

◙ You'll need to signup for an MSN Passport Account to use these groups. But it's really worth your time. You'll receive better help here than anywhere. But if you didn't pay for the product it might be smart not to mention it here. If you want help that is.

Hm....Usually you cannot remove that. All Windows is saying is that it is not a real copy of Windows...it is a copied version. Try calling Microsoft and see what the problem is. They were very nice to me once and gave me a free ID code for Microsoft Word.

i don't think of so, yet there's a danger it must be. in basic terms make sensible you're literally not suitable to the internet. that's because there's a WGA replace on the automatic Updates. So attempt now to not connect to the internet see you later as you probably did not favor to get the reward of the actual domicile windows.
