I need a good hair style and stylists in Myrtle Beach?

I need to get a good haircut and color. The last haircut I asked for layers and even tried to tell them how I wanted! All I got was a crappy choppy cut with layers all over (kinda like chunks lol). Anyone have any good styles? I have dark and light blonde hair straight, thin, a little longer than the midd le of my back. I am a mom and need something to go into a ponytail but that can be styled. I have worn it long and straight with layers parted in the middle since high school. I also need a good salon that has people trained to help you get a good cut that looks good with the hair texture, face shape etc. I don't care what the price is! (within reason, I can't afford a $600 hair cut :) Good colorists too, let me know if you know any good places in MB,SC or in the vicinity. Let me know Thank ya much!

No, I'm not a tourist! I just moved here recently from Ohio and I don't go to places like Great Clips to get my hair done, but I also don't want to be ripped off and disappointed again. So I'd greatly appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction

Is there a beauty school near you? I've had wonderful results and they are usually cheap! Also, if you do decide to go to a beauty school, make sure that you find out when the more experienced "senior" students are on the floor. Here in Nevada, it's Thurs-Sat. I pay $60 for cut, color, and highlights and I've always been happy.
