I don't believe it is for just homosexuals.

What about other adulterers or fornicators of consentual sex? What about the heterosexual?

What do you think of this law against discriminating people of their chosen "sexual orientation" in housing or employment benefits or hate crimes, etc.? Wouldn't that include heterosexual unmarried couples. Even if one is estranged from ones husband. Wouldn't that include prostitutes? Are these also consentual "sexual orientations"?

Well to me there was only 1 sexual orientation made by God and that was "straight".
Adultery and fornication are sins. (sorry I don't know what consentual sex is)
It is against God to live with someone (ex: boyfriend) and sleep with them if you are not married.
Prostitution is a form of fornication.

Shouldn't gay be changed to something like curved or bent so it can make more sense with the word straight lol

I don't believe that it has to do with Christianity as a whole, I believe that it has to do with the mores (moral values) of this particular society. Can you tell me... what is the purpose for homosexuality? The purpose of marriage is mainly for procreation, which cannot be naturally done without a heterosexual relationship. Yes, there are ways for a homosexual couple to have children (I.e. in vetro fertilization, adopting, etc.) but these methods are not as widespread as the original method is.

I believe that this is the reason that homosexuality is being overlooked for marriage. I guess another question that one could ask is - where would it end? Would friends do it too, if they don't plan on getting married, just for the tax rightoffs, if they plan on living together for the rest of their lives? I think the purpose of the tax breaks is to make it easier to raise a family - yes, we have already established that homosexual couples can have a child, but it is yet to be the "norm" of society.

If partners of a heterosexual orientation do not want to get married, they are not allowed the tax breaks of marriage either. Marriage is still mainly based on religion, and the norm of religion has not changed in that way - as of yet. Who knows if it will, some time in the future.

I believe that homosexuality has been looked upon as a strictly physical thing as well, which is not the way that people would raise a family. In this light, homosexuality would be perhaps viewed as selfish - as they are satisfying urges, and thinking about what they want in terms of a relationship, rather than preparing for the raising of children. I am not judging homosexuality, I am stating the norm that people view. No offense meant, whatsoever.

An orientation is a direction in which one's philosophies on a given subject take them. It has nothing to do with anti-discrimination or discriminination of any kind! A heterosexual is someone who only partakes in sex with members of the opposite sex, Homosexuals are with the same sex, Bisexuals are with both sexes and etc..... It doesn't matter to a prostitute for he/she is selling sex of all kinds based on personal ORIENTATION. Orientation isn't Christian, pagan, Jewish or anything like that; it's a personal choice. God ordained heterosexuality, but to be fair to those still hung up in sexual sins without violating their rights, no one can discriminate against a person who is gay, bi or even hetero!

"sexual orientation"?

Well, I think as far as the Bible is concerned, you can be either a man or a women. But both have to stay within God's guidelines concerning sexual conduct.

After all, though a eunuch doesn't have the physical desire, they still could have sexual misconduct with another person.

Regarding your last paragraph, the government will look at sexual conduct differently.

Christian definition?

Ok the Bible speaks of fornication. The greek word, pornea (spelling?), that is translated for that refers to any form of sex that is the normal between husband and wife (meaning how the human body was created and and what each part was created for).

If one does not accept the Bible as authority, then they would disagree.

Sexual orientation means homosexual or heterosexual.

Having more than one sexual partner at a time is something else as far as terminology goes.

The only sex condoned by the Bible is sex between one man and one woman who are married to each other.

sexual orientation is jsut a preferance. heterosexual, bisexual or homosexual. its technically doesnt have anything to do with adultery or unmarried or anything. its just what you prefer.
