Unless they do an open call, you won't be able to audition unless you have an agent. Sites such as www.bbc.co.uk/newsround usually are good at giving information on when they have open auditions. You could join a site such as Springboard UK http://www.pm-global-services.com/indexauditions.php who provide extras for films such as Harry Potter.
