Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is more treacherous than anything else and is desperate. Who can know it? Genesis 8:21 The inclination of the heart of man is bad from his youth up. Proverbs 3:5 Trust in Jehovah with all your heart and do not lean upon your own understanding. The Bible is talking about your figurative heart which is your emotions and thinking abilities, your thoughts.

Your question makes it sound as if there's no hope for anyone. Instead of all the horribly negative things you've mentioned, the heart can be filled with joy, wonder, giving, love, compassion, caring and honor. Don't lose sight of these wonderful qualities that fill the hearts of many people.

No I don't, but I do trust my conscience. Which God gave us to guide our thoughts. If you sit in the couch and you have drugs in front of you, your mind will ask you questions which you will - end up choosing what you'll end up doing. Did you ever see the movies were they have a good person on the shoulder and the evil person on the other shoulder- its the conscience trying to tell you whats right and whats wrong , is just up to you to choose your path.

Actually it's our minds we shouldn't trust. People who are evil don't have hearts in the true sense of the word. Our hearts are meant for naught but the good of the world.

hey the heart is just an organ that pumps blood around your body. Its not like it has a mind of its own and is pre programmed to do evil. That little thing has kept you alive all this long diligently pumping and never ceasing....so be nice to it.

Yes, I trust my heart. God dwells in my heart, and I am the Temple of the Holy Spirit.
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26

It seems like you are answering your own question.
Are you asking, or preaching?
If you're asking, then Jeremiah 17:9 applies.
It says the heart is treacherous, not to be trusted.

I trust that my heartfelt feelings of revulsion in the face of such religious clap trap are the result of interlect rather than your 'imaginary friend'.
And don't deny that the Devil is your friend, imaginary or not, for he gives you the excuse you need to explain away the misdemeanours of mankind when there are no valid excuses...
