You're talking about people as a whole here, but missing one thing... not all people choose the ways of destruction. Sometimes it's easier to find the bad in life than search for the good, but the media is not going to do a news cast about how a person did something right - there's no ratings in that. They are going to claim that there is soooo much destruction in the world, and that's just not true. consider the media during the times of war, or the times after a serial killer has been found with a ton of dead bodies. That's all you hear on the news, and if you didn't know any better, one might think that all people, or all Americans are like that. You have to know that it's just not true. People don't get rewarded for the simple things they do, except by the promises that God gave us. It is our decision to see beyond the doom and gloom of the world, and decide when we want to make a difference in someone else's life.

God gave his son, simply because of his love towards mankind. He wanted us to be without an excuse. Everyone will not change, but someone will. He said if he had to leave 99 to go and get 1, that is what he would do. It was love that caused him to do it.

Because he loves us. Some of us do change, not enough of course, but we do. The most important change is knowing Him personally, that has changed me more than "trying to be good", because no matter how much I try, I can't make it. That's why he sent Jesus. Jesus took all my sins on His back and he gave me His goodness and purity, so when God looks at me, He sees the goodness of Jesus.

We can and do change over a lifetime by living close to Christ and asking for and accepting His help daily. Look at the disciples and apostles in the New Testament for example.

Because He knew that the opportunity had to be made for all of the promises he made the children of Israel in the OT to come to pass! Besides, not everyone will reject Him. If so, there'd be no need for Heaven and Christ's sacrifice would've been a tragic waste.

I don't think any of the above responds answers your question, I don't think god's purpose was to change us. as human we have free will and that what separates us from any other creation. god sent Jesus and lots of other signs and miracles just to Guide us they are like the lights in the highway. without them you may lose your way. what you should think about now is why Jesus had to die to Guide us. why he couldn't Guide us without dieing?

That's a very cynical way of looking at things. For all the bad that there is the world there's just as much good. You have to accept both because they go hand in hand.
