Does it depend on the man? Or do men generally lose respect (and interest!) after they have slept with someone. I know it's different if you're friends first, etc, but if you men meet someone & sleep with them, and you really get on, find them funny, etc, as well as fancy, can you still just be like 'score!' and move on or would you want to see the girl again?

its not like that at all. its women as well. its as simple as - go out, get drunk, get laid, go home, wake up.
if you get a second go at it great, if not, then same again next week. its not a big deal at all.
women are as guilty as men.

I dont know what it is about me.... but its not about sex when I meet a gal. Dont get me wrong.... I've had a couple... but it was definitely a common goal. In general... i would say one night stands should be just that.... one night. If you sleep with a guy or gal on the first night, you are definitely implying that this isn't about finding your soulmate ... or about a long term relationship. If you want to continue humping this guy or gal... thats different.... if its just a lil bit of late night humping when you need it.
Bottom line: Dont screw someone on the first date if you want more than that from them later. It's not about "getting some" and then not having something to shoot for... or work for. Its because you just screwed a guy on the first date... if you do this... it tells us thats what you wanted. At this point you've just targeted the wrong type of guy. He likely didn't want a relationship with you whether you put out that night or 6 months later.

Bloke? I suppose it depends on the bloke in question. Some guys will just do you and go home and mark it up on their score board. Other guys will be more interested in a relationship. Why don't you try not being so easy and make the bloke work for it a little. Then you can weed out the ones looking for a quick score.

I would see the girl again...
Problem is... Many girls who would let you score on the first date are pretty wild and not very interested in settling down. Or, they have a boyfriend or two already... How much effort is a guy going to devote under these circumstances?

For people who are into stands it is usually worth the effort to try for more nights after the effort needed to get that first night. Long term is not for most "stand" guys anyway so there is a limit to how long they string a girl along.

Depends on the girl and how well you get on, if it was a seriously stupid drunken thing then it's usually the slink away in the morning scenario but I've had relationships result from a one night stand in the past.

Men feign interest in all kinds of things they don't care for in pursuit of sexual gratification.
The chase is sometimes better than the conquest. There is always the "Damn that was so easy I wonder how many other........ (ego- ones i can get) (self loathing- blokes like me this bird has been seduced by)".

I hate one night stands, two night stands are much more fun, but then again three can be a nice, you know, if there's a bank holiday.

but alone is just alone. We also like something warm to hold on to when we are feeling a little lonely. We also need a little love
The difference between us men and you ladies is that we separate love and sex a lot more than you girls.

Hey, No, of course not, if we like the girl and she's got a great personality and all that then we wanna stay with them, after sex as well believe it or not. But after a one night stand, well, I wouldn't wanna really stay with a girl after just meeting her and having sex straight away...she's just a little to....easy. Sorry but true.
