Actually, this stems back to the roots of Chihuahua-hood in the early 400s in Mexico.
Most Chihuahuas were silent protectors of the women of the family, and they accompanied the woman to the bathroom because that was when the women were at their most vulnerable points (since palace guards couldn't go to the bathroom with the queen). Chihuahuas would stay alert, and attack anyone that was waiting in the bathroom for the queen. Chihuahuas are very smart, and very vicious.

If she is like my chi.... she is very overprotective and since i 'cant' be more than 5 steps away..... she just sits and looks at me wherever i may be.... even the bathroom....
I close the door, and listen to her sit there and sniff it to make sure i havent crawled out the window LMAO
Best of luck

He doesn't know any better. Or maybe he just wants to let you know how it feels to be watched while your going to the bathroom....
If it bothers you then don't let him in the bathroom while you are in there.

DAMN THAT'S SICK. LOL. But I think your dog just craves a little bit of attention. Do you play with him/her every once in a while?

Mine does the same thing. They just can't stand to be away from their owners any longer than they have to.
