Even after successful restoration of WINXP, message that "Some componants are missing or might have not been installed properly" is appearing. Using McAfee AV. Any help?

COMPLETELY Uninstall the McCafee.. shut down your system.. wait for 5 minutes and then start the system.. then install McCafee.. again restart the system once..

I guess this will work out...

I've got a Dell computer, and my system restore does the same thing...it restores the McAfee stuff, but in order to get them to work, I have to uninstall all McAfee software...then reinstall it with the McAfee disk.

If you had to restore your hard drive you will need to reinstall all of your major and minor programs. When you retored your computer you erased all of the installation data.

I now keep all of my programs, that I don't want to lose, on a CDR

u need to reinstall, during the system restore some files could miss.

u must hav informed by the restore programe about some renamed files, plz rename all files to its original name.
