Ok, first I'll list what it says, most of this is wikipedia stuff but I have heard it independently:
An Astrological age is roughly the time for the vernal equinox to move through one of the 12 constellations in the night sky (this is not just a man-made calandar, but the sky divided into 12 segments according to the patterns) Astrological ages are though to correspond to changes in the earth's inhabitants. Some examples are:
Age of Taurus(the Earth, Bull and Stability) The Pyramids(stable structures) were built, Agriculture developed.
Age of Aries(War and Fire) Empires such as Greece Rome and Persia expanded through huge armies and battles. It also ended with the fall of Rome
Age of Pisces(Fish, the leader) Christianity emerges.
We are considered to be on the cusp of Aquarius, the time when Aquarius starts to influence the world as Pisces draws to a close. Pisces was current with great leaders, men showing others how to be great. Aquarius will have men leading themelves.

Final note: Democracy as a concept that failed in Ancient Greece re-emerged in America at the beginning of the start of the Aquarian cusp.
What my question is does anyone beleives this is mere coincidence or more? Does your beleif system have a answer to this, or more generally to Astrology? As an Atheist I do not belive in divine beings or Gods that we are beholden to on Earth and i beleive in evolution. But, this does give me pause for unseen forces. They may be scientific and jsut not discovered, emotional wavelengths or some such, or it may be another type of energy, but it is certainly interesting. Please give your thoughts.

The age of Aquarius should mean strengthening the brotherhood and altruism of mankind, which I haven't seen any evidence of as yet. We seem to be moving away from unity rather than toward it.
Some astrologers believe that a sign is its most powerful when at its final cusp, meaning that the Pisces age would have its last hurrah before Aquarius takes over.
I agree completely with you on the point that there are unknown elements affecting our realities which science will one day discover and better understand, which have no connection to the fairy tale superstitions of organized religions.

I was with a Leo for 3 years, almost 4 and I personally knew better than to ever take the time out to sit him down and talk to him... that would only make him feel like a child and make the situation larger than life to him, no matter how I approached it. At least not before I've tried a few methods or two. It can potentially push him away. Instead, I would first try to demonstrate what I needed from himself while it's happening, I'd slide his hands down to my tummy, lace his fingers with mine, ask him to hold me, tell him that's all I want right now and hopefully he'll get the hint. Divert the attention elsewhere a few times (different occasions) and if he still isn't getting it (with you telling him that you want to be held) then the set aside sit down pow wow will just have to do. But I have a feeling it won't come to that. Good luck!

My take on astrology - it gives us a different way to look at issues that concern us. I disregard the readings in the pop. press because everybody is subject to the same influences on a given day.
Astrological ages: how about the Egyptian empire? didn't they do their share of conquering before Greece, then Rome caught on? While Greece and Rome are remembered for heroic battles, there was also much peaceful trade which helped to expand their empires.

Sorry but I think you are too easily taken in. Everyone can qute what sounds like logic. But the blunt truth is that I believe in a God made Universe and have an interest in Astronomy.
God controls whatever goes on in your life, not some star 2 billion light years from Earth, and the same goes for the Planets. Yes, I believe in a God Created Universe which goes with my Christian Faith. You have to have a real personal experience with jesus Christ and He will guide you by His Holy Spirit to give you understanding to what the truth really is. It's a pity many people run away from that....Why are tthey scared, what are they afraid of. God is real just open your life to Him.

It's easy to look back and interpret the past in any way you want. The astrological links you describe are vague and open to interpretation.

I think this is an interesting view on things. The Age of Aquarius could mean total chaos or world peace. Hmmmm.....food for thought.

I thought the 60's were the dawning of the Age of Aquarius. It's not here yet? I feel ripped off. Oh, and now I can't get that song out of my head. Great. Thanks.
