No. But you can ask him to recheck the unit to verify it was working properly, calibration check.

There is no law in any state requiring a police officer to show his radar. It might be a departmental requirement or just custom in a particular area but it is not law nor is it a good idea in my opinion. Actually, depending on the circumstances you don't always have a lock on the radar to begin with. It's only a tool just as if had a paced you without radar.
But as a violator asking to see the radar is useless. Do you think you are going to testify that the officer didn't have a radar unit or it was wrong. You need to try another defense to your speeding. It ain't going to work. That's like asking the judge if he is wearing anything under his robe! You are going to have to accept that he does and move on.

No. Because along with using Radar an officer can pace you. They can pace by either a.) pulling up alongside of you and keeping speed or b.) Getting within the 2 second cushion and not allowing that gap to change. This is perfectly legal and if you read on the citation it will have a box that has two options, radar and pace.

I'm not sure if they are required to or not, I suppose it all depends on the State law in which you got pulled over in. I got a ticket in North Carolina and was showed my speed, but in Virginia and Missouri I was not.

In Georgia, if the Officer used radar/laser to clock you, he is required to offer to show you the speed on the unit, and also to test the unit's calibration while you watch, to be sure the unit is correct.
Don't bother, though. The Officer tested the unit at shift change, and the speed is what he says it is. : )

In some states he is required to prove that he is certified to use the radar gun, also he may be required to prove that your car was going that speed. You can go to a tire store and they may tell you that your tires are the wrong size which messes with the speed, or you may prove that your speedometer wasn't working properly.

I think the laws are different in every state. In Wisconsin you have the right to ask to see the radar speed.

No, officers are trained to judge your speed by eye. They will first visually check your speed, and then double check the radar.

This might depend on what your state or local traffic statutes are. Call the DMV or the traffic court. If you got a citation, I would think it would be listed on that( just speaking from experience)

He's not required to do so but if you ask he might be nice enough to let you see.
