Have you tried setting up folders in Yahoo mail? You can then move all of your messages out of your inbox and store them tidily under whatever headings you want. You could have one for your family photos, one for friends or a special occasion etc. This makes it easier to forward photos to people at a later date without having to upload fom your PC.

The "Save to Yahoo! Photos" option is pretty nifty, as it allows you to delete the original email, but keep a photo album on Yahoo. You can then go on to share these via your Yahoo 360 page or a group! You could allow only friends /relatives access to these pages to share your photos with them. Again, these can be organised in folders.

You will see that Yahoo gives you a little preview thumbnail and the 2 options: "Scan and Save to Computer" and "Save to Yahoo! Photos"

The "Scan and Save to Computer" option is slightly misleading because this is also how you open photos then and there to view them full size. YOU DON'T HAVE TO DOWNLOAD the photos at all.

The Yahoo mail system virus scans attachments which you try to open/download and will indicate either that it is virus free, or infected. You will not be allowed to download or open an infected file. This is good.

If the object is virus free you are then presented with the 2 options "Download" or "Back to Message". Clicking "Download then gives you the options to "Open", "Save" or "Cancel".

The whole point about the question "Open or Save" is whether you want to quickly view an attachment now to then decide on how to handle it or save it to your computer for later viewing, perhaps deleting the original email from your inbox. I agree that you reach the "Open" option by what seems like the wrong command, but I guess that you are downloading the picture when you choose to view it full size!?

The Yahoo mailbox limit is 1 gigabyte of total storage, which you may get near to after a while. Consider downloading the photos to your PC for safety and back up if nothing else. Again, your PC will allow you to organise these in folders.

I would say stick with Yahoo. They seem to have thought of everything so far as I can see, you just might not be able to see how to get it to work!

All the Best

I would save them to your computer in My Pictures folder. I would do that because from there you can burn them to a disc, delete them, set them as desktop background to just leave them in my pictures. Hope this helps!!

if you want to keep them, then you save to computer. if you download them they will just stay in your email, they will not save to your desktop.
