Maybe cause we don't know what the hell "miscegenation" is?
If I can't pronounce it; I can't be guilty of it. Right? ;^)

miscegenation -"mix" + genus "race"
Even though it is supported in the Bible, most
Governments today carry a dim view of dictating to folks who they can love or mate with. Religion no longer has the power to directly force itself on folks like they did in the past. Miscegenation is not a perversion and neither is homosexuality, these things are choices. One race, the human race.
What the Bible says:
Leviticus 21:14
He must not marry a widow, a divorced woman, or a woman defiled by prostitution,
but only a virgin from his own people,
Ezra 9:2
They have taken some of their daughters as wives for themselves and their sons, and have mingled the holy race with the peoples
around them. And the leaders and officials have led the way in this unfaithfulness."

While I believe that homosexuality is an extremely minor sin and perversion, I don't consider miscegenation even the least bit wrong. Maybe the major Christian denominations are right for once.

Miscegenation is the mixing of different ethnicities or races, especially in marriage.
There are strong cautions in the Bible and Christian tradition about inter-religious marriages.
But there are none which condemn interracial marriage.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church states: Created in the image of the one God and equally endowed with rational souls, all men have the same nature and the same origin. Redeemed by the sacrifice of Christ, all are called to participate in the same divine beatitude: all therefore enjoy an equal dignity.
The equality of men rests essentially on their dignity as persons and the rights that flow from it: Every form of social or cultural discrimination in fundamental personal rights on the grounds of sex, race, color, social conditions, language, or religion must be curbed and eradicated as incompatible with God's design.
With love in Christ.

The first thing that someone should be considering is whether the idea of sin is actually real.
If God is supposed to be perfect how could She have made anything or anyone that wasn't.
Think about it. The idea of sin assumes certain things about God that seem highly unlikely.
All this talk about sin sounds like a bunch of nonsense to me.
First it assumes a God who is too incompetent to organize a simple educational field excursion and figure out a way to get all of the students home safely.
How likely is this that God would not be smart enough to come up with a plan for our salvation that is going to work?
It also assumes that God must have created us imperfect if we are sinners.
One might assume that God would be able to create someone perfect each and every time if he chose to. Assuming God is capable of this, then it follows logically that we must be perfect creations if we are actually creations of this perfect God.
Unless of course you are saying that God chose to create us imperfect.
If God created us imperfect then anything that may go wrong is Gods fault, not ours. This seems a bit illogical at best so I think that we need to assume that What God creates would have to be perfect.
If this is the case and Gods creations are perfect, then nothing that we can do could change what God created perfect and make it imperfect unless we think that we are more powerful than God is.
How likely is it that we the creation could be more powerful than the creator. I personally find this idea somewhat amusing, and a bit absurd.
Religion tells us that God is perfect. If this is true then it could hardly be logically for Gods creations to be considered to be anything less than perfect.
If this is the case then Nothing that we can ever do could possibly change this perfection that God willed, unless we were so powerful that our choices could override and change the will of God.
How likely is that????
Think about it.
The idea of sin is simple nonsense; a lie made up about God by religion.

Because that is a Southern sin not a Christian Sin moron.
Wasn't Moses' wife from a tribe of "darkies" and God punished Miriiam by giving her leprosy (which turns the skin white) for talking badly of Moses' dark wife.

After reading the definition that the others gave for that word (I had not heard it used before here)
Please give biblical references that show that one race cannot intermarry with another.
Personally, I have never found it.

because it's not a sin - God loves everyone for who they are, He loves everyone the same. God gave us control over animals - that we're supposed to take care of them, but he didn't give us control over each other, i.e. races that are "superior". If God wanted us to marry only one race, He would have created only one race. God wants us to be happy because He loves us!

I was unaware that the Bible did condemn such a choice. Perhaps you'll grace us all with some evidence?
