I'm a Christian and I don't call any other religion a cult unless it is an actual cult. Some religions aren't based on faith, most people believe faith is associated with God so do atheists have faith? I think it's an insult to everyone and all the religions when you call it "make believe" just as God is real to me He may not be real to someone else. That don't make our religions make believe! Some may not be right but that's a different story...and what would happen to this already sinful world if we just gave up our religion? Well we'd have the worst place to live. Bashing other peoples religions isn't right but I can assure you God is alive right now and He does exist, and someday the world will witness this for themselves.

Yes, there are several people out there that are fanatics with religion but not everyone who is religious is like that or believes that their church is the right one and no one else's is right. I am a christian but I also believe that all religions are ok, they are just like personalities. Everyone has their own unique personality and they have to find a religion that fits them best, no matter what it may or may not be. You really need to calm down and just be happy with yourself, ignore those who make you upset and recognize everyone is different and it doesn't matter how hard you try you can't please everyone just like everyone can't please you! Be the bigger person and stop bashing people on what you think is stupid. If people as a whole could just stop being so mean toward each other life would be so much more pleasant!

Molly religion in itself is just the result of people looking for something to hold on to. And you are so right about the fact that they seem to almost be at war with one another. But there is a war going on that we can't see. The war for the souls of people like you and me. Religion is offered in various flavors as a distraction from what matters the most, and that is a relationship with Jesus. He is the dividing line that separates all religions. Just take an in depth look at them and you will find that to be true. Why then? Because according to the bible, Jesus is the only way. I promise you this, that if you will seriously ask God to reveal Himself to you and help you to understand what is true, He will do it. Try it. And just because someone may say they are Christians doesn't make it so. Remember that.

You are telling the truth. I'm a Christian, however that does not give me the right to put down any other religion or denomination. Everybody wants to think their religion is the right one. If everybody would go back to the Bible, they would see how wrong they are. We are not to judge people. The world would be a better place, if everybody would stop judging.

"Cult is literally the "care" owed to the god and the shrine. The term "cult" first appeared in English in 1617, derived from the French culte, meaning "worship" or "a particular form of worship" which in turn originated from the Latin word cultus meaning "care, cultivation, worship," originally "tended, cultivated," also the past participle of colere "to till". Thus in French, for example, sections in newspapers giving the schedule of worship at catholic churches are headed Culte Catholique; the section giving the schedule of protestant churches is headed culte reformé."

I never heard tell in the Good Book that we had to be any one religion to meet our maker. I love God and believe in him and I (try) to live my life accordingly. I don't judge anyone; because who am I to judge???? In fact who is anybody to judge??? What makes a preacher or priest any better than anyone else. WE all have the same feelings and emotions. Religions were set up to make man's own rules as to what they think is right or wrong, not GOD 's ways at all!!!!!

my "church" gets called a cult all the time because it teaches all religions. It's sermons are based on christianity, paganism, humanism, buddhism, etc. etc. We are taught to be tolerant of all walks of life and that there is something valuable to be learned from all and that no one way is the right way...
People always want their way to be the best way and they fight dirty to be the hypothetical #1.

Amen to that one brother!!! (
Youre absolutely correct. If mankind could let go of religion and find some other way of maintaining a commonality with their fellow man, half the shyte going on in the world would cease. But that will never happen....their religions state that there will be people like you and I who deny the LIES, and this will be proof enough to their primitive minds that we are the evil ones, not they.
