I am working in an engineering company and would like to order quality cotton gloves for workmen. However, I could not find any standard for this thing in the world wide web.

Check out the National Institute for Standards and Technology, which used to be the Bureau of Standards, if I recall correctly. They even have standards for things like ketchup.

The second link concerns the government buying cotton gloves. It mentions some company products that have been approved. You might look up those companies and ask them.

not that i know of but a 'coated palm' glove is more durable and safer ( better grip and more puncture/abrasion resistant ) YOU might also note the shipping weight - heavier would imply a thicker glove ( don't know any other way to judge them )
