I've read that that city is supposed to be like 96% hispanic...I guess I'm just really concerned that that sounds pretty exclusionary etc. That doesn't sound like 'melting pot' it sounds like 'beachhead' etc.
If there's one thing that's going to wreck respect and equality in our country in the future, it's going to be more displays like that...
everything I've read about this whole deal in the last 4 months pretty consistently says that the majority of americans don't want illegal immigration. Yet, there are some that do...California's going to have its' work cut out for it, that's for sure...

Doing the very same thing in another country would be a jailed offense. No other country in the world would tolerate a foreign flag flying over their soil, especially over a government installation such as a post office. Any organization that flies a flag on a public place without first flying the American flag over it is making a direct statement of dissonence. Anyone that thinks it's harmless is in denial. You have to pay reverence to the institutions, government and symbols of any country you live in or it starts to crumble little by little until it ceases to exist. Study your history.

they seem to think they do own maywood. they didn't just fly a mexican flag in front of their houses. they put it up at the US post office. i think it is definitely an act leading up to war. i'm surprised there wasn't a riot or anything.

Holding the Mexican flag or flying it in a person's yard or on their vehicle is not an act of war. BUT, when they TOOK DOWN THE STARS AND STRIPES FROM A FEDERAL BUILDING AND REPLACED IT WITH THEIR COUNTRYS FLAG, "THAT" IS AN ACT OF WAR!!! That is the way opposing enemies in war zones claim conquest to a building or area!!
The AMERICAN taxpayers fund the Post Office not MEXICO!!! It's an outrage that our leaders are BLIND to these actions!!

EDIT...you can find confederate flags ALL over the place in the south...this is not 1865...flags are symbols...they don't want to start a war...they just want a better life...it's what every immigrant group has always wanted when comming to this country....
