The meth epidemic in America is staggering. Your brother needs counseling, hopefully he can get that either through the courts or on his own. Nobody can help him until he realizes that he needs and wants to seek help. Just do your best to try and understand his situation.. There are also hot lines you can call for this and support groups as well. I suggest you look in your local area or try google. I've been down that road. If you ever want to chat send me an email.

Well, if he will be in jail, most likely, he will have to undergo a mandatory addiction program. unless he has loads of cash, he won't have access to drugs and alcohol in jail and will be forced to be clean. After that, just keep a close eye on him and be supportive. You can do all of this, but if he doesn't want to stop, he won't. Talk to him and make him understand how he'e hurting himsef and others. It may be painful, but confronting him, might shock him straight.

wow, that's really tough. i think the best thing you can do is to be there for him. tell him how worried you are for him and how much you care about him, and suggest rehab. but the thing is that he has to be the one who really wants it - he has to realize that he has responsibilities like a wife and child that he needs to support. and having a felony charge is going to make it hard for him to find a job to support them, but going to rehab will help ease that load b/c then an employer can see that he got help to kick his addictions.

Offer support but best thing for him is rehab, maybe the court system will be lenient and just send him to detox center.

Maybe it sounds like a broken record to you but the greatest thing you can do for him is to pray for him and love him. Your brother is in bondage and needs to be freed. I don't know how you are with Jesus but if you know Him then call on Him and get all your christian friends to do the same. Trust me on this one.

You can't do anything until he is ready to help himself. Maybe all the trouble he is in right now is a blessing this could be his wake up call.

their is nothing you can do, he has to be the one to WANT TO quit using drugs, if he don't WANT TO, he can't be helped . I am in the same situation, my brother is on heroin. he has been on it since he was about 20 yrs. try to talk him into going into a rehab. good luck

You can only be there for him. He's got to do it himself, and it's going to be hard.

Nothing you can say or do will motivate him, just support him when he is ready
