umm, no! we take at least one a day, and most people who have strenuous jobs and sweat a lot take two.

No, that's not true. Actually, the average American takes between one and two showers per day. Most Americans shower in the morning before going to work, and most Americans shower after exercising, whether they go to a gym or just jog around their own neighborhoods. It's probably more accurate to say that Americans are offended by people who DON'T shower on a regular basis.
