Is it selfish to be kind because you enjoy being kind? *Gasp*
I'm kind to those who are kind. The rest, well, I don't really pay much attention to them unless they're in my face. Then I just turn into a ***** that would make any woman with PMS run and hide.

I think there can be selfishness even in kindness. People rarely, if ever, do anything without a motivating factor behind it (although the Internet makes me question that sometimes).
Also, I don't think "selfish" is necessarily a bad word.

Selfish people have no friends. Only someone who truly didn't care about spending their whole life alone would never be kind.

consider karma. =) if you're kind to people, you will be rewarded in the future & you probably have lots of nice friends. but if you're selfish, chances are people will not treat you nice & you might create enemies.

Kindness comes naturally when you have "love".
To have love and act selfishly, is contradictory- it's unnatural.
