I am just recently married and was wondering if that would affect anything as far as getting more or less financial aid? And what about like grants and stuff that you dont have to pay back? or do they just base it on what you make?

Well now that you are marrid you will always be independent everytime you apply for the FAFSA, which is the basic financial aid form.

Will only help you if you and your new husband's income is not too high. The FAFSA is based on many variables but many the household size and the compined income of you and your spouse. But even if you aren't eligble because you both combined make to much, you can always apply for a student loan, wether you are eliglbe for financial aid or not. Only down side is you have to pay them abck obviously.

if you make more money together than you did alone, you might not recive financial aid. Every situation is different.

grants & such are all measured on your tax information. If you just married, you might not have to report his earnings.

It really depends on both your incomes whether you come out ahead that way but being married can keep them from considering your parents' income and that could be a major help.

I think it does! Married isn't for everyone but if 2 people get together and they communicate well, the marriage has a good chance of lasting. Having great sex is a plus as well. But communication is definitely the key. I mean after all, you have to communicate in order to get the sexual act.

That depends entirely on how much your husband makes.
