Do you believe that the Cure for Cancer (most kinds) has already been discovered?

Do you believe that the Cure for Cancer (most kinds if not all) has already been discovered but it hasn't been announced yet because the Pharmaceutical Industry makes billions of dollars selling other needed drugs for curing cancer? I heard this from a student of mine this morning. He truly believes this is so. Will many still die for some to make their millions? What do you think? Is it possible?

I believe a cure is close but due to the reduction in stem cell research it is far off. There are many diseases that make pharmaceutical companies money. Being know and linked to a cure would be more profitable in the long run because it will escalate a companies reputation. Believing that is too hard because that would make our world a worse place to live.

Nice try, but this conspiracy theory holds no water. You don't think in all the pharmaceutical companies around the world, there is at least one person who is ethical and would not agree to such an egregious thing?

It flies in the face of reason.

Unfortunately the word cancer is used to describe hundreds of different types of malignant growths. A handful of those have known effective treatments, which are widely known. Medical researchers are working daily to find more. Those folks have egos, also, and would NOT be agreeable to suppressing all the praise and prizes (like Nobel) that would go along with the discovery, just for someone else's profit.

This student needs some lessons in logic.

Yes that is possible,. I'm a cancer survivor and a bone-m. transplant would have been the best option for me. But instead I got 3 years of chemo (in total more than 25liters). I live in Europe and I know that bone-m. transplants are more common in the US because they have another insurance system. Overhere the insurance and pharmacutical companies are in charge and bone-m. transpl. are both too expensive for the insurance and their opinion (that chemo works as well) is backed up by the so called specialsts (check out how many are sponsored by the industry!) that prescibe medication or research the use of it. Also hospitals make more money that way. Freaky!

I don't believe there is a definitive cure at this time, however believe there are MANY drugs "sitting on the shelf" waiting for approval from the FDA, or are being modified to gain approval. Use Mayo Clinic for instance, if there WAS a cure I could not see ALL of those Doctors with such incredible knowledge, not use any and ALL technology available to them to cure their patients.

I find other answers to this question curious. I do believe a cure for cancer has been known of for many decades. I believe many cures for many types of cancer have been known of for many decades. I love the dogma of the allopathic profession claiming they know what they are talking about. The only difference between a doctor and a used car salesman is the used car salesman knows he lying. The FDA says that only a "drug" can cure an illness. Therefor only pharmaceutical companies can make a claim their product cures. Thank God I wasn't stupid enough to become a doctor. the cure for cancer has yet to discovered,at first stage of cancer the bunch of effected cells can be operated out but with the medicines the rootcause(carcinogenic activity of the cell) is yet to handled
