Yes they do! I work with a computer all day. Try to setup your chair and screen to the proper position. You can find some ergonomic advice on the web. I also use the "see clearly method" for some great eye execises to alleviate the effects. Take frequent breaks. Your eye is a muscle just like any other muscle and it needs exercising. I hope this is of a benefit.

electronics and electricals around us emit positive (plus) ions. its a known fact that this ions make us more tired. thats why people who uses the computer most of the time will be feeling tired easily. the remedy is surround urself with negative(minus) ions. one way is to spend some time by the waterfalls or by the beach.

well if you dont even have the time, try using the product that i'm using. its a eye mask (those you wear while sleeping on the plane). what's so good about this is that, it enables you to feel fresher and more enegetic. at the same time, improve your eyes muscles.

its more of a scientific explaination. you can contact me at fyrdaus_is@yahoo.com and i'll be glad to tell you more. in the mean time, take a short break every half an hour after using the computer.

you can get the screen tint and put it on your screen. They attach easily. I also have a pair of slightly tinted "sunglasses" that I slide on when the screen starts making my eyes ache. Sometimes the light in our office hurts my eyes as well and I wear the glasses then. They help everywhere, not just the computer screen.

Hope this helps

1. Blink (blinking rate decrease dramatically when you stare at the screen and it will dry up the eye, leads to infection.)
2. Use antireflective glasses.
3. Keep 1 arm length to the monitor

Yes, you need to get up at least once every half hour and let your eyes rest a bit and focus on something else.

yes,the reason being, that you are focus on one point, the eyes are fixed, they strain and thus will creat soreness, tiredness, afixation, you get up the next day and your eyes are not relaxed until you watch the screen again, because they get use to the day to day activity.
