It is not good to mix alcohol with ANY medications, sorry about that. It might make you feel worse. Best of luck to you.

They say not to drink while taking Lamictal for a few reasons. Dangerous sedation, dizziness, or drowsiness may occur. In addition, alcohol is a depressant, and the Lamictal can intensify the depressant effect (and therefore one may become quite depressed, and even suicidal).

Why are you even asking? Are you an alcoholic - that you HAVE to have a drink? Why don't you ask your doctor? I'm sure he'll have something to say to you about taking meds and drinking. In fact, you shouldn't be drinking if you're bipolar.

Call and ask a pharmacist at a drug store. You can be anonymous. But I'm sure it's not recommended to drink while on any kind of prescription drug.
