Like I've said, we're both really shy, but now that I'm pretty sure that both of us are interested, I want to take the relationship to the next level but don't know how. Please give advice on how I can do this without getting embarrassed myself, embarrassing him, or even ruining our friendship. Thanks!

Ok, so you now KNOW he likes you? Then what are you so scared of? It seems like you are more apt to make a move than he is, especially since you are asking for advice on how to make that move, here (but then again, for all we know, he too is seeking advice on this). SO, why not ask him to hang out? Grab something to eat and catch a movie. There is NOTHING embarrassing about that and I am sure he'd be thrilled that you asked! Just keep it light and breezy, you know? No high pressure hang-out, just chillin' with your guy friend. I think if you keep it chill, you won't run the risk of losing a friend.

Keep talking to him and when u have absolutely no doubt that you two are perfect for each other just fall on the subject during a casual convo cuz while you are in that casual convo you are both comfortable so there is no real pressure! Just come out and ask if he would like to go to the movies or somewhere to hang out (make sure he dosent have a girlfriend) and eventually, if he's interested too, either he or you will ask the other out

ask him out for a nicee night or a movie or something. If the feeling is right bring it up with him. You'll never know if it can be taken to the next level for sure without talking to him about it. Be positive and have confidence in your-self.

Let him be the guy and let him start it,if not
you are being the boss of the relationship!
Times have changed,but guys haven't!!!
If he's really into you, back off and let him
take the lead, especially with a shy one.
Why run him off soooooo soon after just
finding out he likes you?
Give him time to think!!!

I think that he is just as interested in you as you are in him. Lay a big one on him, it will catch him off guard and I bet he'll be really happy.
