Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh Scotland I miss living there. If you can get down to the Ingleton Market on edge of Edinburgh Airport, I can recommend the meat man there. Perhaps you could do the trip once a month and bulk buy. I miss the bargains I used to get from him, we never ate so well and his meat is delicious!

Shouldn't be hard up there. Strachans have a base in Abdn and they are wholesale company. Isn't there a mart in Stonehaven?

If you were to get yourself a cow you could fat it up in your garden and you would have fresh meat on demand, on your door step.
