If you do plan to straighten it, be warned- the minute you start to sweat a little bit on your forehead it will be ruined. I had one for a while and any time i went on the underground or it was a hot day, the tiniest bit of sweat would make it curl up and go stringy and horrible looking. The rest of my hair was long enough that a bit of sweat on the scalp and some humidity in the air wouldn't ruin it, but the fringe is always the first to go. It was impossible to maintain- I'd leave the house looking OK but once the fringe went, I was ruined for the rest of the day!!

Have a side fringe, but remember it is going to need high maintainance as it will bounce up being curly. Keep it longer and that way it will weigh out the fringe. Keep it light and it should look fine.

Try it, but straighten your fringe for it to look good.
I have a round face, and black hair too - never thought it would suit me, but everyone loved the look. I got an angled fringe - dont get a straight one or it will just make your face look rounder. I have a left side parting, so closer to the parting it was short, and longer towards my right ear - like a slant.

Personally i have never been a big fan on fringes.
Some girls look great in them, others it looks like a totally disaster.
Because you have curly hair already the short fridge will probeley go all frizzy and silly looking.
However, you could consult a stylist to see their point of view.

Give it a go, it'll grow out, or can be clipped back relatively quickly and easily. But from experience I know that curly fringes- at least mine- tend to look rather silly and need straightening and fussing to look right, it depends how much time you have on your hands

try a side fringe first, not so scarey, if you like it, you can have a normal fringe cut in. it will grow out, quicker than you think

Unless you are planning to straighten your hair, it would look very "off" on curly hair.
