I'm sorry, but your question is so vague. You are talking about what "some" Christians do, and it is right...
The examples you listed are things we should do. If we do these things correctly, then we have done these things correctly. The list is not complete, so I cannot say "if you do these things correctly, you are in great shape."

The problem with fundamentalists is that they focus more on the laws found in the epistles than on the teachings of Jesus in the gospels. The only reason to set yourself apart from sinners physically is if you are so weak that they will convince you to return to sin. If you are not that weak, the sinners need you more than the saved--what need have the healthy of a physician?
Jesus is clear that you do not judge the non-believers around you, and that you should befriend them so that your own holiness and wisdom will help lead the sinner to the kingdom of heaven. Critisism and rebuke do not accomplish this--it sets you apart from the sinner and makes them your enemy.
Once the sinner has known you and seen for themselves what is wrong with their lives, it will be easier to lead them to find the kingdom of heaven. Once they are on that quest, then the advice and laws in the epistles come into play.
While sin is sin whether the sinner is saved or not, you should not judge the sinner (or use the loophole that you are judging their sin), you should guide them to Jesus so that they start trying to purge sin from their own life. Telling people how to live is no way to influence their lives--people are only driven away from the truth by this arrogance.
On the other hand, for a Christian to judge another Christian, this is something I feel should be done more privately than usually done. Since they are both on a path to holiness, they should judge each other and let their opinion be known to the other. After that, they should leave the issue to be prayed on and thought about by the other Christian--so that their hearts will find the truth. Often, but not usually, the critic is the one that is wrong. This is why it should be dealt with directly, and not in a gossip session.
Hellfire and brimstone only works on the simple minded--yet so many churches focus on this. To convince those not already in church, you need another approach--the more flies with honey method.

Church tradition 101.....
ADULTRY- Indeed the Jewish laws were to punish adulterers but Jesus advocated mercy on account of our own sins. He also ordered the woman to stop sinning. The last time I checked the church doesnt go around killing adulterers.
THE LEAST- The churches indeed target their ministries to the homeless and sinful people are always reached in order that they might repent. Many of them are happy to do it as they were for Jesus!
FISH- Some people in the church fish.
APOSTLES- That is exactly why traditional churches women may not hold the offices of elder or minister because we see role restrictions taught in the NT.
TEACHERS OF THE LAW- Jesus didnt have a problem that the religion was organized fo it was God that organized it! Jesus was upset with them because had become a bunch of self-righteous hypocrites whose hearts werent right with God.
ONLY GOD SHALL JUDGE THE SOUL- We would be the 1st to agree! If youre referring to us judging "sinners" it is because we are to keep the church holy, pure, and free from sin. Therefore it is not our mission to judge and punish those outside the church. If a church advocates punishing unbelievers they are not following Scripture.
Are modern day churches like that? Some are, many arent. So go find a good one and serve God and your fellow man!

Your are twisting the word of God. Jesus was telling everyone who wanted to stone that women that if they were without sin, they can cast that first stone. He made them realize that they are all sinners. Jesus did not condone the sin its'self.
Christians do not condone gay lifestyles, because if they did, they are not Christians, but people who just claim to be one. God knows the difference. Christians live by God's law, and do not let their spritual eyes get adjusted to the darknesss of this sinful world and the people in it. They are supposed to be that beacon of light that leads the lost soul out of that darkness and into the recieving arms of Jesus, if that lost soul is willing to accept Jesus as their savior.
For those who accept and condone all the sinful lifesytles in life, God has this to say to all of them....
Romans 1:25-32 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
If someone condones and accpets any sinful behavior, they are being disobedient to the word of God, and a true Christian knows the difference between just saying they are a Christian and obeying God's word and actually being a Christian. God knows the difference.

I'm a Christian, but I'm sad to say that I agree with your point. Too many Christians try to do the job of the Holy Spirit, which is to convict each of us of our sin. That's His job, not mine. Now educating others about what the Word of God has to say is a good thing, but God said it and that should be enough. He doesn't need my commentary.

We shouldn't talk bad about anyone gays or straight. God calls us to love others as He does. He doesn't hate anyone only there sin. We shouldn't look down upon anyone that only turns them away from Christ. If you consider yourself a Christian (i mean everyone) then try your best to live as Christ did. Don't say your a Christian then look down or talk about someone else. You cause others that don't know Christ to push away even further. Love them for they are a child of Christ. Even if they don't know it.
