This is a VERY difficult question. As your best friend he probably knows you better than anyone, you get along, and you can talk together (all of those are much needed in a marriage). Honestly, if you don't think you can find better and you think you'll be happy with him- I don't see the problem. Just realize that if it doesn't work out- you could very well lose a best friend. However, don't do it if you feel like you are settling. Settling into a marriage is the absolute most painful thing to do in the long run. Think about what it would be like to have children with him, to wake up to him being annoying, to sleeping with him (in both forms of the words). I honestly think that you should tell him to hold off on your answer and to start dating each other. Tell him to ask again later and that you'll be thinking about it but need time. And remember that with dating him- you know where he wants the relationship to go so you need to think about it because he's serious. But do not marry him just because he is your best friend...there are parts of marriage that you need more than a best friend to be a husband. Your husband should be more than a best friend. My advice in short: ask to just date him for now to test the waters- if you see it working out- great. If it isn't, end it quickly before he falls more.

That all depends. Do you love him? Do you find your self attracted to him? Can you see yourself married and happy with him for the rest of your life?
If the answer is yes to all these questions then I would say yes!!!!!!!!
But if it is no then don't go there.
I understand that he is your best-friend and you love him to a certain degree but is it the kind of love you feel for a friend or for a parent or for a pet? Or is it the kind of love you can't live without?
Is he your everything? Do you think of him all day long? Do you find yourself waiting for all of the days chores to end so you can see him?
No one can answer this question but you!!!!
If you really love him with the type of love it takes to get married and stay together. The kind that you will stay faithful to him and never stray off. The kind of love that no matter what life may toss your way then say yes!!!!
But, if it is only a friend kind of love say no!!!
It wouldn't be fair to either of you if you just settle and you aren't truly in love with him. Because eventually you will get bored with him and soon you'll messin around.
And where will that get you? Alone and without your best-friend. You don't want to loose that friendship do you?
But if you really truly love him with all your heart and soul then say yes.
If he is your best-friend then he already knows all your faults and he has seen you at your worst and your best. He knows who you are inside and out as well as you know him the same way.
He has accepted all that and made the choice that you are exzactly what he is looking for. If you can except all that he is and you really truly love him then say yes!!!!!
I hope that this can help you make the right choice. It is really your choice. But again if you really truly honest to god love him and feel you can't live without him in your life then marry him.
If you don't and you are afraid to tell him no for fear that you will hurt his feelings you still need to be honest and say no...
If he is the real friend that you claim he is then he will understand your decision. Your answer may break his heart for a little while but he will recover. And before you know it things will get back to normal.
Just explain to him that you love him but that you aren't in love with him. These are 2 different things.
Tell him that it wouldn't be fair to lead him down a road of heartbreak with you because you don't love him in the marriage kind of love.
And that you said no because you care about the person and friend that he is. And that you don't want to loose that.
Tell him why marriage would be a bad idea to him. Be honest. If your answer is no.

It would depend on if I was attracted to him that way. It would also be a sure way to destroy a close friendship if it didn't work out so I would probably thing very hard about, but some of the best relationship start out as good friends.

love is something which can exist one sided if two hearts have same feeling then only they can find happiness together, and not neccessarily if hes your best friend you can be in love with him or accept his proposal just think what you think about him......... you are happy comfortable and first of all is he the man you had ever dreamt of.... just think dont hurry insaying yes or no........ otherwise you will loose your best friend or ur love both....... even if not in love but atleast let him be your best friend..

it entirely depends on the girl if she to have a feeling for the guy then she will accept it happily, if she dont nurish such a feeling then bad for the guy, she will not accept it. but it doesnt mean that the girl dont like the guy, if she didnt like then he would nt have been her best frnd. so respect her decision & the guy can still be frnds.
