I believe its something to do with our liberal society.

Today people have to respect for one another, the welfare state has created an underclass who have no desire to work, but would rather deceive the system and take as much benefits as possible.

We now have 3rd generation families who have never works as they can get much more money on benefits, how do kids in these families learn the rights and wrongs and aspire to a better future?

We have teachers, A&E Staff, old age pensioners being assaulted by scum bags and if they are caught, what do they get?.... Community service?

Society was more disciploned in the past, People respected the police, not because it was the right thing to do, but because if you looked sideways at the local Bobby you got a slap round the ear.

People respected their teachers, because if you messed around you got caned, and you went mmm I'll not do that again.

Progressively society has got more liberal, touchy feely, tree hugging, and people are running riot.

So until the Governement build more prisons, lock people away protect the public, rehabilitate those who want it, crime can only get worse.

I am going to tell you something that is so obvious you can prove it with a short talk with a corrections officer, but it is not politically correct so we aren't allowed to know it.

MOST CRIME COMES FROM KIDS RAISED BY THEIR MOM.

In 1985, kids in the US from female headed homes were 7 times more likely to go to prison than kids from two parent families. Blacks are not more criminal as such; for decades the US government has been paying black girls to have kids outside of wedlock, so most of black kids are raised by their moms.

Feminists don't want you to know that. Their statement is if scummy old deadbeats will pay enough money as they should, women can do a BETTER job of raising kids alone.

What rot. I call kids whose mom is raising them alone, little convicts.

Here is why men make for better kids.

Women give unconditional love. Little kids need that.

Men give conditional love. When the kids do good, the dad loves them. When they mess up, he lowers the boom. Kids need that for correct socialization. Society does expect certain performance standards, or no job, go to prison.

How often have you seen some vicious murderer on Death Row, and his Mommy is standing there, crying, saying, "You don't understand my son." Of course we do, that's why we're executing him.

Have you ever seen a father saying the same thing? Hardly.

If you want to cut crime, give automatic custody to fathers, even unwed fathers.

This will not only cut crime. It will also cut down on teenage pregnancies, since girls will know they won't gain anything by messing around. Also, there will be many fewer divorces, since women will finally have a reason to stay married. (Women file most divorces.)

I know what you are thinking. Omigosh, all those men will be abusing and molesting those poor babies. Right? Gee, you have sure memorized your feminist catechism well!!! Good job!

In fact, most child abuse occurs when women have sole custody and the bio father is not present in the house. Most of it is her latest stud brought home from the bar.

Anyway, I know this won't happen, but that is the real reason.

Gosh, I forgot another factor. You dummies disarmed everyone. As soon as you took away the guns, the fatherless criminals went on a rampage. Ditto in Australia. Canada tried to mess with their guns, and the citizens refused to so much as register them, which means the citizens can defend themselves. Good job, Canada.

Society needs crime, crime has always existed. The capitalist society is a crime producing society and the major obstacle to reducing crime is capitalism. Don't understand what you mean by hundreds years of UK gov though. Thousands of years.

society is always in a state of flux. with newer ideas also come newer crimes. the term 'white collar crime' was unknown 100 years ago. at present more than 50% of all crimes are in this category. Old Bailey records say that in 1710 a person who stole 3 suits was given death sentence! Besides, British people may have an extra crime gene in them. history supports this view.

Crime is human nature, from the person that steals to feed their family to the addict that does this for drugs. Crime, however unpleasent, keeps socioty running. it is estimated that millions of pounds finds its way back into the retail industry from fraudsters using stolen credit and debit cards. Without these funds the retail business in England would struggle. (i work for the fraud department of a major bank, these are internal statistice).

I don't know about the UK but Canada has the lowest crime rate any where.I don't know how they do it.
