Heh... I walk my 2 dogs every day. And every time we're out, they've gotta poop.. -_- Now, I KNOW everyone's gonna hate me, but I don't pick it up... I feel ashamed already as it is... I know I should, but... where in the world are you supposed to put it after you've picked it up in a doggy bag? Do you carry it with you? Eewww.... It disappears within a day or two anyway, so.... um? I just want to know where in the world you're supposed to throw it? B/c I'm thinking about getting some doggy bags since it seems they just LOVE to lay little treasures all the time. xP (I'm 15, btw, if anyone wants to know)

Well, when my dogs crap on the street (yes, it's on the street, not people's lawns) the next day I go walking (I walk twice a day) I don't see it. And I know it didn't just grow legs and run off...

Haha, oh, and let me mention. This is a subdivision. And just about EVERYONE lets their dog run loose. Dogs crap everywhere all the time around here. So, don't go and talk about "it's against the law". While that may be true, it's also against the law to let your dog run loose. So, basically, no one's gonna call the cops to fine me, when they'e breaking the law also. Not to mention, the neighbors a house down from here fight pitbulls, so their DEFINATLEY braking the law. But I see where everyone's coming from. No need to be rude. Just b/c everyone else it breaking the law, doesn't mean it's alright for me to do it. I'll see about getting some doggy bags. =P

And um... it's NOT on people's lawn, as I said before.... It's on the side of the street.... Sorry, if I sounded like I was yelling, but I wasn't... =P

Well, Crazy dog Lady... It's not as easy as it sounds. I have no proof that they fight them. I've only been told (by themselves) that they fight pitbulls. There's nothing I can do about it if I don't have proof. I'm sorry, but it's really not as easy to catch them as you think. Have you ever been in this situation? ...Exactly. So, you don't know what it's like...

You need to deal with it and carry a bag. Ewwww...that's nasty you don't clean it up. Shame on you. If your dogs pooped in my yard, I'd punch you and your dogs in the face.

The disappearing poop is being picked up by other people. If your dog is leaving treasures on people's lawns, someone else is cleaning up after you. How would you feel if a guest in your home left you a huge mess to clean up? To me it would be infuriating, but that is just what you are doing to all the nice people whos lawns your dog leaves his presents on. Act like a nice guest, and try not to make extra work for the hosts!

Depends on where. If it's a wooded area where no one ever goes, knock yourself out. But if it's in an area where a small child could fall in it...or folks eating their lunch are passing all the time, then shame on you. It's not just your mom, it's true...if everyone acted the way you did, think of how much poop would be outside YOUR door. Your favorite areas!! Where your (someday?) kids are playing. My neighbor lets their dogs poop in MY yard and my son found it. It was disgusting.
Take a bag with you and clean it up. The fact is, you are relying on everyone else to clean up after THEIR dogs, or your daily walking zone would be covered in poop. And by the way, yes it gets washed away...eventually. Sometimes this takes weeks! And it goes into the ground...which someone may plant in, or work its way into YOUR drinking water. Clean it up. Toss it in a trash can or flush it.

I hate picking it up to, but as a responsible dog owner you should do it. Just imagine if someone was leaving their dogs poop in front of your house.
You can be fined if someone sees you and reports it, or if the police see you. It is a form of littering, and if animal control catches you you could be in even more trouble.
I pick it up in one bag and then carry an additional bag to it in. If someone has a full trash can outside I drop it in there, if not I carry it back to my own trash.

It does not disappear in a day or two. Just take a bag and carry it with you. Throw it in your trashcan when they get home. Other people do not want to step in your dog's poop. A responsbile dog owner cleans up after their dog, no matter how degrading they think it is.

Yes, you pick it up. Unless you feel like paying fines because in many cities you have to curb your dog or you get fined. Depending on where you walk them, just throw it out in a trash can on the street. Is that really that hard??

dog poop doesnt just disappear - either somebody cleaned it up or cars drove over it and squished it...

we didnt need to ask your age.. it showed in the question as most adults are well aware of the conceiquences of leaving dog poop lying around (it can spread diseases to other dogs - even if your dogs are healthy they can carry virus that they are immune to which can kill other dogs)
most people get the bags and carry them home or put in the nearest garbage can

incidentally if you feed a better quality food - you get less poops

**ALSO if you have neighbours you KNOW are doing illegal activity (fighting dogs) and dont report it then you are not an animal lover

AND it is illegal, just because other people are breaking the law, doesnt mean its ok

Confuzzled: Imagine someone took your dogs away and put them to sleep. You would never see them again. What you are doing is laying the foundation for that same thing to happen to someone's child. The disease that lays dormant in some dogs crap carries a bug that can attack a childs brain and kill the child. You may never know about it, and probably never heard of it but it is a fact. Act responsible by either picking up the dogs muck or by having them put to sleep. It should be an easy decision..................

We have neighboors who do this to us all the time, It is rude to leeve your doggie poop, we ahve to pick it up before we mow the lawn, play out side etc....

Its not hard to scoop your poop they come out pretty hard and they roll right into the baggie.

I usually take my brother with me and have him pick it up. ( heh heh) but I do know that you can take any old grocery bag, turn it inside out, put your hand in it scoop it up and put it back outside in and then toss it into a trash can. I only have one dog so maybe you should take two bags just in case. -but i really hate picking it up to.
