some years ago while in the U.S Marines stationed in Sigonella i was given a bottle by a local gal its was named GRAN MISTRA blue label tasted like anice by volume it said 81% what does it translate in proof as anybody ever herard of it?/ and where to buy it in USA, I swear it was potent and after the second shot went down without any problems

81% would be 162 proof, but I have never heardof or tasted this stuff - sounds like I would like it though.

Proof = alcohol content x 2

The proof is always the alcohol % times 2. don't know where you can find it in the states though.

the proof is double the percent i believe. thats what i heard somewhere and i used to check that calculation on my bottles and it never failed me. so i would have to say your Gran Mistra is @ 162 proof. as to where to buy i have no idea. but i bet your internet can get you there.
