I met this amazing girl about six months ago. One evening ,a week after meeting her, we went clubbing with a few friends. When we left, I said goodbye and gently kissed her on the hand. This led to my going to her apartment where we sat chatting for over an hour 4am in the morning. Just before leaving I went directly up to her and asked her if there is a possibilty for something to happen between me and her.
She laughed, smiled and looked down and said she didn't know.
I had left it there for awihle, but I haven't forgotten and I AM STILL INTO HER.
I have received mixed signals form her and I don't know what to do, think or say. I recently asked her to acomponie me to a formal event that I atend on a yearly basis and she said that she is going with someone else. Should I put in effort and keep trying to get her, or should I let it go. There is a possibility that she might leave our town soon, unless...

from a girls point of view - I think youre wasting your time. She sounds like shes not interested, but is either biding her time to see if maybe a current other guy will work out for her, of perhaps shes too polite to reject you outright. All I know is if i was into a guy Id go out of my way to go to the do with him, even if I had told someone else Id go. You sound like a nice guy - Id recommend you focus your attention on someone that will reciprocate it.

If she's seeing someone else, there's your answer. She's moved on and so should you. Don't waste anymore of your time on this one.
