You are going to have to be patient with this man. Men get damaged emotionally as well as women. He will have to work this out in his own time. Continue to be the wonderful, trustworthy person you seem to be. As you 'prove' to him thru your actions & conversation that you are indeed who & what you say you are, his trust will increase.
Sorry, it just takes time.

You can't make anyone trust you. Trust comes over time and the person as to see it instead of being told "you can trust me". Just the way it is.

Unfortunately, he has brought some baggage into your relationship. all you can do is be patient with him and continue to show him that you are faithful, trust worthy and nothing like his x. It may take days, weeks, months or years to totally get his trust, not fair, but how it is. It is up to you if you want to stand by him while he works through this.

You are not his bad relationship! Simple treat him as you would like to be treated. If he does not do the same for you, then he has no respect for you, and you need to find a man who is mature enough to understand that a relationship is a two way street!

Don't give him any reason not too. I have learned this from experience it just takes time. Once trust is broken it is hard for someone to just forget it.

you;re just gonna have to let him come around on his own, when men get out of bad relationships their ego is hurt which hurts their whole self. you can tell him to trust you all you want but he is the one that is gonna have to make that decision. if you really want to be with him, you're gonna have to ride the storm out.
