Red sauce is handy for certain things like marie rose sauce and certain chilly sauce dips but I love it on chips and there is a really good Aussie make called Tommy Sauce which is neat. But I do like brown sauce, has to be HP, with sausages and any kind of fry up; makes good bbq sauce as well. The other day someone served it up with corned beef hash cakes and it was delicious. So 50% each way. If I had to decide probably tomato because it is sweeter and I like the squidgyness of it.

I love both but can only eat red or tomato on chips nothing else whereas I love HP brown sauce out of the glass bottle cos it's much better than the plastic bottles on bacon butties, chips, fish and chips and lots more. So I guess if I had to pick one it would be HP Brown sauce.

Brown is the best for me in the last year, before that for years I had had Red, now I am a convert to Brown sauce.

I love them both. There's nothing better than red on chips, and Brown in bacon sarnies, but If I was in the supermarket and could only afford one bottle, I'd get red.

I'm not a fan of brown sauce to be honest but am completely addicted to red.
Best of all on chip-shop-chips and in cheese toasties. Yum!

Got to be HP Sauce every time - Daddy's and all rest just aren't as good.
If I am at a cafe, and they tell me they have 'brown sauce' I say no! Got to be the real mc-coy!!!

I like both depending on the food. One of the best po-boys is a sloppy roast beef (i.e., roast beef, plenty of brown gravy w/mayo on french bread). As far as a red gravy seafood dish can't beat redfish court bouillon.

I always went for brown till they invented BBQ. Don't be BBQist, there's more than 2 sauces avalable.
