No, they should be fine. The date is the sell-by date, not the eat by date. I have eaten yogurt a month after the date and I used some buttermilk the other day with a July date on it. It hadn't been opened yet and it was fine. My cottage cheese is always good after the date. I have always done this. As long as it doesn't smell bad.

If it says "Best if severed by Aug 13" then trust that after that, it's toxic. If it says "Best If sold by Aug 13" then it might be safe.

Either way I wouldn't eat it on Aug 13 let alone 2.5 weeks later.

It is okay to eat them, you will not get sick. It is best to eat them before the expiration date because of the quality of the product.

it is bad to eat those things in the first place, and aging doesnt help them any, but you can eat most foods for years after the expiration date if stored properly and obvioulsy if it hasnt gone bad,,,,,, it may not taste great, but it wont kill you.

A couple of weeks probably won't hurt you. I'd either use them now or throw them away, though - don't keep them any longer.
