What if you took everything from the right column from every situation and religion and focused on that and let the left column fade away from your life, wouldn't that eventually help your life and over time the world.

What if every religion is a piece to a bigger puzzle, you take the top of everything and blend it with the tops of everyone elses "everything" wouldn't the left column over time disappear for everyone?

Answerer number II, I have no idea what you just said. I guess you are smarter than me. I do know what obtuse means, and I prefer to think of myself as simple. I think there all good people in all religions.

David, point taken, I happen to believe in Jesus Christ and my whole life changed the first day I believed. However, I don't think conquering people and beating them over the head and telling them they are going to hell is going to make them see things my way, nor should I try. Nobody could force me to Jesus, I found him on my own by looking for Him.

To believe that everyone is basically good is to deny the truth of the scriptures. We are all made good (in the image of God) but we are all corrupt due to 1. sin nature and 2. evil influence.

Is there goodness in everyone? Probably. Does that make us good? No. Everyone is corrupt, not "totally" evil, but inescapably under the influence of evil. For this, we are condemned.

So not only must we acknowledge that every person has a sinful nature, but then we must also acknowledge that evil exists. And seeing that good will not tolerate evil, a spiritual war between good and evil is being waged in your life as in every life.

Because we are corrupt and corruptible, God can not have us in his family, because no blemish can be found there.

But someone stepped in to save us, to provide us an out, if we choose to accept it. There is a cost, but not a price. It can not be bought, because it is a free gift. But to accept it, one must also accept that the goodness of the giver will begin to displace the evil of the world. Yes, you must exchange a life bound for death in order to receive a life bound for Glory.

But it is a free choice. You may choose otherwise, but must then also endure the natural and unavoidable consequence of your choice.

Jesus Christ said "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except by Me."

You must choose. There are no loop holes, and negotiation on judgement day will be ineffective, because if your name is not written in the Lamb's Book of Life you will be cast into the lake of fire. No excuse will be accepted, no other appeal. That is the second death.
