Download the USB driver for you correct model and version from you MB's manufacturer website and install it. Reboot the PC as requiered.

If that doesn't work, try this:
First, go to your motherboard's manufacturer website and download the USB driver for you correct model and version. Second, expand the file and place it in a folder in your desktop. Third, open the hardware manager and remove the yellow-marked USB ports and remove it. Fourth, press F5 to refresh the hardware list. Fifth, when the OS asks for the updated USB driver point to the folder in your desktop wheren you placed it (second step) and press next.

The best way to eliminate this type of driver problem is to contact the motherboard (MB) manufacturer and download the chipset driver(s) for the MB. The Chipset drivers will almost always address issues with the USB controller as all of this is integrated into the MB.

Absent that option, you may simply try to download the actual driver for the USB controller (although this is sometimes more difficult to locate).

Good luck.

Check on your manufacturer's website (PC or motherboard)...they will have the correct driver there.
