Who can tell me how long I should wait or share their stories with me? Anyone knows healthy babies born after using Herceptin?

the official period recommended by the manufacturer is 6 months. My onc said wait 4 months.

I finished Herceptin in May, and my onc has never mentioned that you cannot have babies after you are done with it. However, he did say that it is not a good idea to get pregnant while taking Tamoxifen because there is a high rate of birth defects. I have 3 more years of Tamoxifen, but have known some women to stop taking it to get pregnant, and then start up again after. But like with everything with cancer, each person is different, not just a number. I am curious what other responses you will get. Good luck!

Studies haven't shown and reduced fertility after the use of Herceptin. How long you should wait should be best answered by the oncologist that treated you. Responses to chemotherapy are very individualized. He/she would know well, by your blood work, how you've metablolized the drug.
