I keep my hands busy...that helps a lot. Knitting is a great stress reliever if you're the "fidgety type" which I am. But my suggestion would be, to figure out what type YOU are. Maybe that doesn't make that much sense...but my point is think about what you do when you're nervous or under stress and find a good replacement for that. Are you jumpy? Go for a jog! Tend to shut down and want to escape? Take a nap!

Everyone is different, so what someone else does may not help you. But figuring out what's best for you should be fairly easy!

A lot of people make fun about stress, but they don.t understand the adverse affects it can have on you or your family.. firstly you need to know what you are stressed about, is it something you can discuss with someone else, this can help to put a different light on things.
Is it because you are trying to be all things to others, mum, daughter, sister wife (or husband, brother, father etc.) work colleage u know everything, well stop and try to take a little time for yourself, they won.t fall to pieces..each of us need to be a little selfish at time..take time out.. only by knowing what the problem is, addressing it and dealing with it can you begin to feel better, no amount of excercise or other activity will de-stress you .. you need to eradicate the problem thats causing the stress.. good luck..

I go to the back waters of the lake where it begins to form. Sit there and watch the waves of the water flow while thinking. Seems to help, just let some of my stress flow with the waves.
By late afternoon you start hearing the sounds of nature. Frogs croaking, beavers etc.. There's nothing there but you nature and the water.
To me it's calming

Step back and take a few deep breaths...try to focus on the cause of the stress and work out a solution to the problem.
It works for me.

i throw things out. things which are lying around for eons, things which i don't need, which are not kept for memory's sake, which i still keep for god-knows-the-reason! i feel so much better after that. haha its a good way to keep your house in gd living conditions(i.e preventing it from morphing into a rubbish dump) :D

well sometimes when i really reach the point where i can't hold it anymore i listen to music. really loud music. and cry my heart out. well it sure work wonders!

well don't do what I do, I have this bad habit of holding everything in cause "I'm a nice person". Then when my stress levels hit the boiling point I go off on everybody, even people who don't even know me.

All you need to do is a simple breathing exercise. They tell
you to take a breath when you're angry. But we need to breath in,
and blow it out.
Simple in and out breathing will relieve stress, And saying an
affirmation, out loud if you can, along with it, is even better.
Make something up, or say something like, "I forgive and I am
forgiven."
