Ciad mille failte. Sorry, that's all the Gaelic I know.

Gaelic is a lovely, musical-sounding language. It is certainly not redundant. Scots Gaelic is alive and well here in Canada, mainly in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.

Dhia duit! Ta me Gabriele, agus ta me al Lituain me. (bet I've made some mistakes already...)
I come from Lithuania, and I learned a little Irish while i was an exchange student at UCC. However, being quite possibly the only Lithuanian to speak Irish, I don't have much practice, and I think I'm already forgetting what I've learned. If you're willing to help me keep my Irish up, just let me know!
