My school dinners were a disgrace, served by a dinner lady with a ciggy hanging out of her mouth. Lumpy mashed potato, warm plum tomatoes out of a tin and half cooked sausages. Yuk. The only thing I ate while I was at school was the macaroni cheese which was a revelation! Mind you it was 30 years ago!
