There were many answers to someone's question earlier that the dinosaurs were drowned in the Great Flood.

Do you understand how inaccurate this is?

The time period that the dinosaurs lived, there were only very, very small mammals, they made homes underground to avoid being eaten by the giant reptiles...

Has anyone researched any sort of history and/or science outside of the Bible?

Dinosaurs became extinct 65 million years ago, 5 million years before the first primitive man.

"Dinasaur remains are found on the same layer as human remains"

Obviously some have not done any research beyond listening to creationists.

Beyond the obvious problems with the antagonism some Christians feel towards science, I think science education must accept some of the blame here. Timid teaching standards or too little time teaching evolution will result in students having little or no understanding of the concepts.

Ignorance breeds wherever truth is absent. School boards need to be more concerned with the teaching of truth than getting re-elected by the ignorant, for the ignorant will remain so as long as re-election is the goal and not the education of young minds.

Uhm, Southpaw? "Dinosaurs became extinct 65 million years ago, 5 million years before the first primitive man." I think you mean "60 million years before the first primitive man", right? ;-)

I feel your frustrations, but don't take things so literally and seriously when reading books.

Existence of "God" may not be that important to a scientist. Having an open mind is -- for a rational being does not necessary want to fall into the same dogmatism as some do. Scientist often have to eat their own words, but could bravely and honestly do so. It is within their discipline to do so.

Anyone who thinks dinosaurs were drowned in the 'great flood' needs to go back to kindergarten and start again. There is simply no excuse for this level of appalling ignorance.

The thing with the evolutionist is that he presumes upon something he never saw. He over-confidently trusts theories as having intrinsic infallibility.
The thing with us Christians is that we have faith in a God that we actually experience, and no scientific theory can debunk the value of experience and faith. These things are not subjected to scientific meanderings.

Who cares. Believe what you want to believe. So long as your beliefs don't affect me personally, you'll have no problem with me.
